You can hire us to perform events at your business. Please send us complete information about the events at adultjazzandgroovedancee@gmail.com. We can schedule a meeting to discuss more details about doing events online or at the studio at your organization.

How much do the dance classes cost?

4 Class Pass Cards are $20 ($5.00 per class).

8 Class Pass Cards are $40 ($5.00 per class).

12 Class Pass Cards are $60 ($5.00 per class).

16 Class Pass Cards are $80 ($5.00 per class).

20 Class Pass Cards are $100 ($5.00 per class).

24 Class Pass Cards are $120 ($5.00 per class).

Where do I sign up for dance classes?

You can register for classes at the studio or www.adultjazzandgroovedance.com/classes

How old do you have to be to take classes?

You must be 15 or older to take adult classes, or a parent or guardian must register for you if you are under 18.

 

Do I have to pay a registration fee when I sign up for classes?

No. You are not required to pay a registration fee when signing up for dance classes.

 

How can I sign up for dance classes?

In-Person Class Registration Option

Step 1: Go to the studio or click the "Dance Class Registration Form" button below to get the registration form.

Step 2: Complete the entire registration form.

Step 3: Return the registration form and payment to the staff.

Online Class Registration Option

Step 1: Go to www.adultjazzandgroovedance.com/classes.

Step 2: Click the "Book Now" button to complete the entire registration form.

Step 3: Select the "Submit" button to submit the registration form.

Step 4: Click the "Buy Now" button or www.paypal.com/myaccount/transfer/homepage/pay to complete the payment.

Step 5: Select the "Submit" button to submit the payment.

 

Please Note: You will receive a receipt after completing the class registration.

 

How many dancers can take dance classes?

Group Classes must have 3-15 dancers or 1 or 2 dancers enrolled and taking dance classes. If any of these classes do not have enough students registered, they will be canceled for that season.

 

Can I cancel the class registration at any time?

You can cancel your class registration at any time by the deadlines. You must call us at 301-349-6054 or email us at adultjazzandgroovedance@gmail.com to request to cancel the class registration. No canceling registration after November, May, and July 15th.

 

How many dancers can take dance classes?

Group Classes must have 3-15 dancers or 1 or 2 dancers enrolled and taking dance classes. If any of these classes do not have enough students registered, they will be canceled for that season.

 

Do you offer special offers for classes and other services?

We offer special offers for classes and other services. You can participate in drop-in classes until the last week of classes without signing up for them, but you only have to pay a fee. You can also try our dance classes for free for two days to see if they are right for you. If you buy 2 classes, you can take 1 or 2 free classes.

 

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, credit, pass, prepaid card, and PayPal payments.

 

When are the class payments due?

Drop-in-Class and Full Payments are due the same day you sign up for dance classes at our organization.

Monthly Class Payments are due every 2nd of each month.

Weekly Class Payments are due every week by midnight to avoid paying a late fee and the payment.

 

Do you accept late payments?

We accept late payments, but you will have to pay a $15 late fee in addition to the other payment. If no payments are received 10 days after payment deadlines, your class registration will be canceled for that season. You cannot attend any more classes once your registration for any season is canceled, and you cannot re-register for classes until the next season once your registration is canceled.

 

Can I get a refund at any time?

You can get a refund at any time by the deadlines. You must call us at 301-349-6054 or email us at adultjazzandgroovedance@gmail.com to request a refund. No refunds are given to anyone after November, May, and July 15th.

Can I exchange classes and other services?

You can get exchange classes and other services anytime by the deadlines. You must call us at 301-349-6054 or email us at adultjazzandgroovedance@gmail.com to do this activity. No exchanging these items after October, February, and June 15th.

 

When are the class payments due?

Drop-in-Class and Full Payments are due the same day you sign up for dance classes at our organization.

When are the health policies?

No one can attend dance classes with a cold, flu, or virus for safety reasons. We advise you to attend classes online until you recover from any illness. No one can dance with any injured body parts and be at an unhealthy weight for safety reasons. Everyone must give us a valid doctor's letter or other documentation indicating that you are healthy and safe to return to classes at our business.

 

When are the safety policies?

No alcohol, drugs, or smoking products, such as marijuana, are allowed in classes at the studio. No drinking alcohol, doing drugs, or smoking products like weed in classes at the studio. Only law enforcement and security teams can have weapons, but they must still abide by the law like everyone else. Bullying behavior, harassment, inappropriate relationships with others (for example, a student-teacher love relationship), stalking behavior, threats, or violence against anyone are unacceptable at our dance organization. You can bring a service animal as long as it does not cause harm and danger to others in classes at the studio. We are not responsible for deaths, illnesses, or injuries in classes at the studio. However, we will contact 911 emergency if any of these hazardous events occur in classes. We will cancel classes until further notice. Everyone must leave the studio together as an organization for safety reasons.

 

What are the professional behavior policies?

Everyone must respect each other, no matter their background or views on many situations. If they experience negative behavior from others, they must report it to the staff by email or phone or speak to the staff at the business to discuss the issue. All conflicts will be resolved in a professional manner that is fair for everyone.

 

What are the general class and studio policies?

Adult Jazz & Groove Dance Staff can manage all dance activities at our dance organization and events we do for other businesses. They can refuse to provide products and services to anyone for any reason. If anyone commits a crime, legal action will be taken. Dancers will be banned from our organization forever. Cell phones must be off except during break times. You can have your cell phone on when attending Zoom Dance Classes or playing music for dance choreographies dancers will perform at events. Ensure you keep drinks and food away from the classrooms and dance floors. Everyone must clean their mess before leaving the classrooms. They must take their belongings when leaving the classrooms and the studio.

 

How can I attend in-person classes?

Please arrive at dance classes on time or earlier at the studio.

Step 1: Sign the attendance sheet before going to the classes.

Step 2: Security Teams and law enforcement will check to see if you are not bringing unsafe items, such as guns and knives.

Step 3: You can go to your dance classes.

 

How can I attend virtual classes?

No students can attend online classes less than 1 hour before classes begin.

Step 1: You must create a Zoom Account or skip this step if you have one.

Step 2: Download the app from the "Apple Store" or "Google Play" or go to www.zoom.us/signup

Step 3: Click the class link(s) from the "Adult Jazz & Groove Dance Class Schedules."

Step 4: You type in the meeting ID and password to log into the dance classes on your computer. If you use a mobile phone, type the password to log into the classes.

What are the dress code policies?

You must wear active or dance clothes and dance shoes for dance classes. Clothes and shoes must have appropriate images or words that send a positive message to everyone. Lyrical, private, and performance classes required students to wear any dance shoes. You wear non-specific dance shoes for lyrical, private, and performance classes. You must wear tap dance shoes for tap classes. Hair must be away from the face for safety reasons during classes. Small jewelry can only be worn in classes for safety reasons. We recommend that you wear contact lenses if you wear eyeglasses daily.

 

Are there any dance teams I can join?

Our dance organization has three dance teams you can join at our business. You can participate in the adult, senior, or teen performance group. Our Performance Group Programs consist of serious and talented dancers passionate about dance, entertainment, and performance. Our mission is to create a healthy, positive, safe, supportive, and welcoming performance group environment where dancers can build confidence in themselves, enhance their dancing, enhance performance quality, grow as performers, and create performance styles while participating in these dance programs. In these programs, they will join dance communities, build relationships with others, and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. These performance dance groups travel to perform in several events, such as community and local events and many state businesses.

 

How can I join any dance team?

No auditions are required to join any performance group. You must be age 15 or older to join any group. You must be an enrolled student to be part of any performance group. You must have a dance background. You can have a performance background, but it is not required if you are an intermediate or higher level dancer.

 

What are the requirements for committing to a dance team?

You must commit to any performance group for 3 to 12 months during the year. You must take at least 2 performance classes.

You are welcome to take additional classes. You must attend classes twice weekly and practice 4-6 hours weekly. You also must attend rehearsals as needed. You must attend at least 1 community event, such as a competition or showcase. You are required to attend all of our showcases. You must perform 1 production number performance in all of our showcases.

 

How do I get featured in events in businesses in many states?

You must be 15 or older and an enrolled student or guest at our dance organization to attend business events in many states. You also must attend dance classes and rehearsals to be featured in events in the businesses in these states. You must dress in any costume and wear appropriate dance shoes when performing at events. You must wear casual clothes, shoes, or uniform outfits if you are not dancing at events. We will give a packet that discusses the complete requirements for participating in events at least three months before. Keep in mind you can attend as many events as you want.
