Our Dance Organization Background

Many organizations do not provide many dance programs for adults in many states. Some dance programs do not meet adults' needs in these businesses. Everyone deserves a chance to dance in God's and Jesus' Way beside their way. Joy Timmons decided to established a micro adult dance organization, Adult Jazz & Groove Dance in 2023. 

The organization's mission is to provide unlimited dance opportunities through diverse classes, events, and performance showcases, fostering participation both within their own structure and in collaboration with other businesses across multiple states. 

Their vision is to become a leading micro adult dance organization, promoting positive change by ensuring that adult groups can dance in a fun, healthy, safe, supportive, and welcoming environment, allowing them to explore the art of dance with confidence and enthusiasm.

Joy Timmons-Dancer, Founder, & Instructor

Joy has 39 years of experience dancing and performing across various states in the arts, education, and entertainment industries. Joy did her dance training at the institutions, such as the College of Southern Maryland, Dance Expressions, Inc., Linda Natoli's Studio of Dance & Gymnastics, and Towson University in Maryland. She holds a master's degree in business administratio and education from Asford University (now the University of Global Campus). She earned her dance teacher certification from the Dance & Gymnastics Organization online.

Joy was a member of groups like Adult Dance Ministry, Linda Natoli's Senior Company Dance Team, and Vibe Towson University Urbam Dance Troupe. She has showcased her dance talent at various events, including talent shows and worship services. Joy has earned recognition for her hip hop and jazz performance at the Accotink Academy Talent Shows in Virginia. She received 2nd place at King's Dominion Dance Competition Festival with her Linda Natoli's Senior Company Dance Teammates. Then, she taught students ballet, creative movement, hip hop, jazz, and tap dance at abilities and levels at various studios and organizations in Maryland. Joy look forwards to dancing with everyone, including her future family.
