Adult Jazz & Groove Dance is a non-competitive micro adult dance organization founded by Joy Timmons in 2023 in Georgia or Virginia (Pending State). We specialize in hip hop, jazz, lyrical, tap, and other dances in several creative styles. 

 

Everyone deserves a chance to dance in God's and Jesus' Way beside their way. Our mission is to create a fun, healthy, inclusive, safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for adult dancers who love to dance anywhere.

 

We envision becoming a better dance organization that gives adults a chance to showcase their dance talents worldwide and ensures they have an excellent experience dancing with Adult Jazz & Groove Dance.

Joy Timmons-Dancer, Instructor, and Founder

Joy has been dancing for 39 years in the arts, education, and entertainment industries worldwide. She did her dance training at the College of Southern Maryland and Towson University in Maryland. Joy has a master's degree in business administration and education from Ashford University (Now The University of Global Campus) and a dance teacher certification from the Dance & Gymnastics Organization.

 

She was a member of Linda Natoli's Senior Company Team, the Prince George's Community College Flare Up Dance Team, the Mt. Ennon Baptist Church Adult Dance Ministry, and the Vibe Towson Urban Dance Troupe in Maryland. Joy won 1st and 2nd place for performing an excellent solo hip hop and jazz dance at the Accotink Academy Talent Shows in Virginia. Linda Natoli's Senior Dance Company Team and she won 2nd place for performing an excellent jazz dance at the King's Dominion Dance Competition Festival in Virginia.

 

She taught dancers ballet, creative, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, and tap dance at Encore Baton & Dance Studio, Little Busy Bee Early Learning Center, Prince George's Sports Complex and Learning Center, and YMCA in Maryland. Joy is excited to dance with everyone, including her future family, where they can achieve their dance goals at Adul Jazz & Groove Dance.
